Ask in the gaming forum about running TF with a 570. You'll probably get useful responses. I think it should run fine.

I run on a 7400 Go and it runs perfectly fine, no lag on dx8, 1024x768. My roommate has the 8400gs on the newer dv6000, and it runs NO LAG Dx9, 1280x800 on high resolution, texture quality, etc. Hope that helps, if anything, anything better than 7400 should run fine, although my laptop does have the 2 gig ram. My processor is only 1.8, T5600, so i assume the 8000s are way better by now.
also, my computer is exactly a year old already, and it can runs it fine, WITH DX8 THOUGH -
Thanks for the posts!
I've read so much about this now and it's a big issue, so many people are affected by this crash and it's got nothing to do with my rig, it'st Steam. My comp will run the game perfectly stable using DX81 mode and DX9 without HDR.
I didn't get a lot of response in the game forum, guess not too many people are using this machine or the FX570m
Thanks again -
Yeah I just recently bought the new 8510w - with FireGL card in it.
I play World of Warcraft, never had problems with it on my old desktop or old HP notebook.
With the new 8510w however I seem to crash, mostly with blue screen, sometimes with fatal error message, very often. I think last night I must have crashed a good 8 times.
I am pretty sure it has something to do with the graphics card. I seem to crash the notebook everytime something changes with the resolution, like plugging or unplugging to the docking station, or when I (in game) change the games resolution.
I cant be 100% sure though . . . when I manage to glimps the blue screen it seems to always say there was a fault in win32.
I have re-installed to machine from scratch . . . hard drive format and all that, but same error.
I run VMWare Workstation on my machine, and often have two virtual pcs running in parallel (not while playing WoW of course) - and never have a problem, so it cant be computing resources they seem to be ample.
This is why I am slowly tending towards the graphics card.
I have tried Wow with different resolutions, and even at a lower resolution, with the graphics quality turned down - crash.
I dont play any other games, so dont know if it is a WoW related problem or not. But I have never crashed the game on my other PC or Notebook.
Not sure what else to do or try, am contemplating going with Vista 64bit . . .
Any suggestions? or better yet, any similar problems else where? -
My brother runs Source games on his T61p (also Quadro 570m) without too many issues--well, it RUNS great. TF2 randomly crashes but it does about the same amount for me on the 8510p (for example, seems like a 50/50 chance the game will "crash" when you quit).
I think he's using the latest drivers modded from that driver site I can never remember... hah sorry.
