    Hi

I'm an owner of an HP 8510w, Lenovo convert, this laptop is truly great and I got it over the T61p which is a very good laptop too.
I got off a rough start with this laptop as my favorite game woulnd't run smooth, Team Fortress 2, but that hasn't got anything to do with the laptop.

I'm curious if any one is running Vista 64, I have a license here for Vista and I'm not sure if I should take the plunge or not. If I do however it'll be using the 64 bit version. Right now I'm running XP and as usual XP is pretty stable and sollid.

It must be the driver for you gfx as it is a dedicated workstation graphic card. They are told to be working slower than their 'normal' equivalents. What is the settings you are playing TF2 at? maybe you are expecting too much from it ;)?

Hi, TF2 is super smooth, it's the known sound looping crash that I'm getting. I've even made my GPU been known as the 8600m GT, didn't make any diff. It's definately not my platform, after a whole weekend of troubleshooting and reading on the web I'm sure of that.

Check the forums and you'll see tons of people posting about this with all kinds of GPUs and platforms.

Go for it.. whats stopping you?

If XP is solid for you, why move to Vista?
