    im using a DV2000T (core2duo)

Any way to turn make screen bright while using batteries?

When i plug in the power cord, the LCD becomes very bright but when i remove it and start using betteries, it dims again. I know this will save me power but is there a way to force the screen to be always bright even when using batteries?

You can do that by a combination of FN + Fx buttons (x stands for a number). On my notebook the combination FN + F7 makes the screen brighter and FN + F8 less bright.

If that doens't work, go to your BIOS and check if there is an option that says: Enable screen display power saving or something. Then disable it.
