Looks like release is imminent and most likely will be in May(considering past release history). HP usually has a mobility summit of sort and thats when they typically do new mobile announcements. On the other hand they might release it sooner.

Anyways, engadget is reporting that Amazon has added HP Mini note PC's to their webpage but it isnt available for sale and neither has it been priced...

However compsource is listing the price...

I've been looking at this for a few days now, and am liking how it looks. I'd like to see a bit more powerful system available, maybe with Intel's Atom processor. Is the VIA processor in the Mini-Note dual-core? It doesn't look like it, but if they are loading Windows Vista on there then it's gotta be decently powered none-the-less...

I'll wait to see what Dell has to offer when their mini notebook comes out in June. The Asus Eee 9 inch just came out also.

Competition is great. I bet Asus was planning to release the 900 on their own sweet time, then HP comes along and lights a fire under their ass lol.

I got the SUSE version with the hard drive and can only say im extremely disappointed. not with the hardware but major OS issues.
all I see are good reviews for the Vista units, but no reviews for the SUSE version. issues include
    1) random freezes that require hard reboot(ram has been checked w/ memtest86 and is good.
    2) HP Toolbox (HP's device manager)utility wont open even as root, just doesnt do anything
    3) cant install any software, everthing asks for dvd:\\\ DVD 1
    4) only came with a documentation cd that nowhere mentions the SUSE version
    5) it is finally on HP's support page (with the wrong pic), however when I hit the select OS version I only get vista basic and vista business. NO SUSE!!!

if anyone else has a linux version please let me know if you are experiencing my issues

    thanks
