    Hello,

Just received my HP Mini 311 today. Replacing the hard drive was easy, but I'm having trouble adding an extra 2gb dimm.

I've changed RAM in a notebook before, so I'm familiar with the process. However, when I pull the retaining clips outward, the module does not pop up. Is the extra slot soldered to the other stick which cannot be removed?

Hopefully I'm just being dumb somehow, because I'm sure I've seen other people claim they've added extra RAM to their Mini. Can't find any demonstrations on YouTube however, so it sort of makes me wonder.

    Thanks.

OK - yes, I'm being dumb. (Or making this out to be harder than what it is.) This is actually extremely simple.

I was thinking the entire expansion slot would pop up. I then found this photo which shows the memory stick at its 45 degree tilt:

I was properly releasing the retention clips all along and never even realized it!
