This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     Just ordered (6/14) a HP dv6t q.e. and used a 33% off coupon.

    I noticed Microsoft is giving free Xbox 360s away with PCs over $699 to students.

    Has anyone been able to get both? Not sure how the free Xbox deal works, if it is through HP or not.

    I called HP and they said you can not combine two discounts ... has anyone had luck at this?

    you have to phone order via HP to get the XBOX deal. We've yet to see someone talk the rep into letting them have both.

    My friend tried and HP said no...coupon or Xbox not both.

    yup same as the others. I argued and argued but wasn't able to get both. Then I tried to get the discount on the HP Care Pack that was originally on it to no avail. Oh well. In the end the 33% off only saved me $210 because the care pack went up $130
