I have 2 places on my dv6000t, where some parts are just not as glossy as others. One is a small rectangle on the middle right right at the edge. The other is in the middle and is like inch long thing. Only time i can tell is when i have like a dark background and look at it.

Anyone else? What can I do about it?

Look at the keys and pads when you close the screen. It is probably where they're rubbing against it when the machine is closed. Only solution is to get something like a very thin cloth or the foam they shipped with it or something and put it on the keyboard before you close the lid.

I would definitely call HP. I have the dv6000 and the keys are not anywhere near the screen. I'm sure HP will replace the screen because that has to be a manufacturing defect which is covered under the standard one year warranty. This is if you didn't do something to it anyway.
