This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     Anyone else have problems with their nc6230/nc6220 touchpad?

    So the pointing stick / touchpad keeps going out on my nc6230. I had bought another nc6220 and they didn't work when I got it...I sent it to HP and they "reseated the touchpad connector" and it was supposedly fixed but I didn't have that laptop for long. Now on my nc6230 it seems to go in and out intermittently. As long as it is on a table it seems to be OK (although I have had to open the laptop and reseat the connector once). But once it is in my lap I have to sometimes mess with the laptop to keep it running. I am going to talk to HP tech support since it has a 3 year warranty, but I thought I would check on here and see if anyone else knows anything about this problem.
