    I got a XPS M1330 with LED and LOVE it . . . can't say about the DV4t though.

For $200 more, it better be. But to answer the question of the thread, I was configuring a dv4t today and didn't hesitate picking it. I wouldn't think of buying a notebook without the LED option...sure wish the larger screens had this option.

I configured it several times before and every time I was amazed how expensive HP laptops are becoming even though the quality is the same... almost $2k for custom 14" plasticy laptop... no thank you!

My experience with LEDs is they tend to have a more even backlight, but the picture quality isn't necessarily any better. It depends on the screen. I haven't seen the dv4 so it'd be hard for me to say.
