I'm trying to decide between the new 8440 and the older 6930, mostly because I'm concerned about loss of screen size going to 16:9. Does anyone here have both the 6910/6930 and the 8440 and could post a picture of them side by side for comparison?

The 8440's highest resolution @1600x900 option gives you much more screen real estate than the 6930p @1440x900. You will be better off with the 8440p/w. The screen quality and brightness has also improved.

How does the screen quality improve? Isn't the only difference between them the aspect ratio and the resolution? I was under the impression that both were HP/Compaq CTFT panels like I have in my Evo N620c. My big concern with an 8440 is the stretched aspect ratio of 16:9 coming from a 4:3 screen in my current notebook. That and I'm not a huge fan of the new keyboard.
