Anyone have any luck finding the better HP laptops in Canada?

I like the features of the new Artist Edition DV2800, but I dont think the graphic will test the time very well. I have noticed that on the US HP site you can order the same laptop with the verve styling and also can BTO some of the settings. There is no option to BTO in canada and the only verve imprinted laptop in canada is at future shop and uses the AMD chip, so no HDMI or draft N. (both are requirements). Also, the CPU that comes with it as stock is the T5550. Not bad but would prefer a higher end cpu.

Anyway, does anyone have any reccomendations on how I can get that laptop with the verve styling in canada?

There might be some 3rd party retailers that sell customized laptops and ship them to other countries, including Soviet Canuckistan (sorry, had to ). You should Google for those, and see if you can find one that's selling the dv2800 with Verve styling that will ship out of the US. However this means that (1) you won't be able to fully customize, though there will be more options than going to an electronics chain store (not sure what you guys have up there - here it'd be Best Buy, Circuit City, etc.) and (2) I'm not sure how the warranty would work - I doubt you'd be able to ship the laptop to HP directly.

 

anyone else have any suggestions? The only real retailer in canada that sells these is Future Shop (That I am aware of). They call these laptops exclusive but I know thats not entirely true.
