If you do and you installed XP on it, where did you find the SATA drivers? The one I have has the AMD processor, but I can only tell you that much because the Vista on it isn't genuine for some reason. (It's not my computer, a relative asked me to install XP on it.) I've been looking for drivers for a good week or so now and I haven't found even a hint of where to go...Any help would be appreciated.

Maybe try another AMD machine that came with XP like the V6000.

The SATA drivers are included in the nvidia chipset drivers. The download link for the latest version is...
    http://www.nvidia.com/object/nforce_nf4_winxp32_8.26_11.09.html

Alternatively you can also download the older nvidia chipset drivers from HP.com for the dv6000z series...

If you just want the SATA drivers, you can extract them from the setup folders(using 7zip or any similar archiver).
