Since it seems ATI updated the Intel and ATI drivers for the new Envy, I was wondering if anyone tried installing them on their old Envy?

You can install the drivers and the ATI driver will work. However, you will not get switchable graphics since the old Envys only have one display path to the builtin LCD.
