    I was thinking about cleaning around the fan and getting rid of the dust, but I'm not sure how to go about opening the laptop.

    Has anyone done this?

    ^ i did and i followed the manual. the only hard part for me is when u need to pry the left side of the base cover to take out the motherboard...
