I see a lot of activity on the dm3, but personally I think I'm more interested in the 5310m due to the business-level build quality and combination of standard voltage processor and integrated graphics (prefer the battery life of integrated and don't need it to handle games, but I also like the "full-power" processor for other tasks).

The pre-config models are available for order on hp's website as of yesterday. Laptop mag gave the $899 model an excellent review. No configurable models as of yet, but I'm assuming I'd be stuck with one of the pre-configs anyway since it looks like hp charges a ridiculous premium to custom config their business models.

One thing I noticed is that they list the OS as WinXP Pro - not sure if that means you just have the option to downgrade, or if it really comes with XP preinstalled.

The one that i have access to in AUS is a pre-config with the SP9300 said it had Windows 7/ XPP Pro... don't exactly know what that means. Maybe has both available?

Looked really good, but overpriced It is like a more expensive dm3 without discrete graphics.

I actually like the design of the case better though of the probook, but otherwise a no go.

A dm3 with the SP9300 would be around the same price, wouldn't it? Seems like I'd be trading the discrete graphics for battery life and (possibly?) better build quality.

ya pretty much, I guess it depends on what you'r looking for, really without the discrete graphics the pro should be alot cheaper, so technically unless that casing it has costs ALOT your getting a bit ripped off. Though i suppose if you wanted the better battery life with the sp9300 you could go that way.
