I think there's something wrong with the BIOS, because the boot order option for USB says "USB Legacy" and not "First, second, or third" etc... we should file a bug report with HP!

Hi guys--I'm posting from my 2140! It arrived safely just over a week ago, but it took a little time for us to get everything set up--this was our first laptop, so we also had to get a wireless router and do that whole setup
Anyway, now I'm setup, online, and everything is working great! So far I love the 2140 and haven't encountered any problems. We didn't notice much "bloat" either: we deleted the McAfee trial because we already have Norton coverage that we added for this computer, and we are also going to delete the Office trial because I get Office free through work to use at home as well.
I didn't see a 2140 owner's thread--should we start one up? -
I'm sorry... I know it's late, but.....
Congratulations, wesrubix...
btobey, congratulations!!!
Yes, please start an official 2140 thread... I'd make one if I had one, but I don't have a 2140. But, I'm seriously considering it and waiting for users' impressions and concerns, but it seems like there are not many 2140 users here. -
OK I got my HP 2140 Mini to Boot from USB. I don't know why it worked. But it did.
I told the BIOS to reset to defaults. Then I could pick my flash drive from the boot menu (F9) as a "USB Hard Drive" and it successfully booted off of the flash drive!
I don't know what I changed, but the BIOS is back to normal. I don't see weird "Legacy USB" in place of the ordinals in boot order anymore.
Tek, you should reset your BIOS to defaults and see if you can boot off flash.
Anyone ordered the 2140 with the new high def screen yet???
