    OK, so I know the motto nowadays is "don't use notebooks in your lap," but I often surf the internet on my couch while I'm watching TV.

    I'm looking for some kind of lap pad or flat surface I can use to keep the heat away from my legs. Right off the bat I found this:

    Can anyone recommend something else? I'm interested in the cooler pads, but every chill pad I've researched has at least a couple people who say that it stops working after a few weeks or months.
