    Hi,
Does anyone try to update his BIOS to F.2D version?
Is it safe to update from windows since it is winflash?
Does it work or it has problem?

Yeah, it's safe, you should be fine.

Make sure you close all apps and background apps, and be on AC power and it should go smooth.

Does it matter if I run it in windows safe mode? then I will be sure about unnecessary processes and services.

Also Did you find any changes after update? my system is Pavilion dv2775ee and current version of BIOS is F.25

Do you remember what steps have to be made after installing winflash installer?

    I updated it successfully. :) :)

The fan speed is changed so much. I starts to turn on very early but without considerable noise and the speed gets high in 58 degree.

In previous, it started loudly at 49 degree and then falls down in medium speed and then stuck at high in around 56 degree.

I haven't update to F2E but from what I heard from other forums is that the F2D-E kicks in the fan earlier (fan starts at lower temperature) to prevent the faulty chips from "dying too early".

Fan also starts at lower temperatures in F.2D. It says that SD card has been improved. I really want to know whether any power management improvements or fan control issues are solved.

What are the temperatures and at which temp, the fan starts (low and high)

Is that what it is? I've been wondering my computer's temps are higher and I haven't changed a thing, I think you may be on to something here.

I've Recently Updated to F.2D , and its amazing , My laptop starts @ 5 degree (with a lil fan noise , but its ok ) then when its idle my temps r @ 20-25 degree @ normal load its about 35-45 degree , and @ 1 Hour of Prime95 the temp is stable @ 66 degree , which i think its Great as my laptop used to Idle @ 50 :D

I found this version annoying... If I start the computer on battery it starts spinning on high then gradualy the speed decreases and remains on.

it is annoying because when I power on the system it is cool and not so hot that the fan should start. It does not recognize battery and AC power.... I think ACPI update for this version was not tested...

I previously had F1.17 on my dv9000. Due to video chipset failure, after I reflowed the chip with heat gun and got it back to life, I updated BIOS to F2.D. The temperatures got lower, now my temperatures are:

VIDEO = 39C IDLE, 49C NORMAL USE, NOT TESTED HIGH USE YET
    NORTHBRIDGE & CPU = 15C IDLE, 25C NORMAL USE, 35-45 HIGH USE
HDD = 39C IDLE, 45C NORMAL USE, 49C HIGH USE

The problem is I DON'T HAVE WEBCAM ANYMORE. It this an issue with the F2.D BIOS, or did I just forgot to put back the webcam connection on the mainboard when I remounted the laptop ?!

Another thing: when I opened the case of my dv9000, the video chip didn't have any thermal paste or pad, it only had a small aluminium foil between the chip and the heatsink. Is this ok or should I apply some thermal paste ? Also, the CPU thermal pad was kind of melted down so I added some thermal paste over it.

    Thanks in advance !
