Hi,
I own a refurbished DV2000 laptop with Intel Centrino Duo, Nvidia Graphic card and Windows Vista. Few days ago, my laptop started to give out three beeps (one long two short) with black screen. I found out that this symptom is under extended warranty but I can not pull up the serial number from BIOS. On top of my part number I have 2CM7151LR2 as my serial number but one of the HP agent says my serial number is for their optical drive. Can anyone with dv2000 and this part number tell me the serial number of the laptop? It might be same as mine.
Thanks in advance.
Darren.

The serial number should be in the bottom of your notebook.
Serial numbers will vary differently from model to model. It will need to have exactly the same parts and specs. So finding someone with the same model will be hard. -
You might be able to check in the hardware diagnostic tool that comes with most hp's to see if the serial number is located on the home page.

For some reason the serial number I have which is 2CM7151LR2 comes out as Optical Drive in HP product database. So, I am trying my luck to see if anyone has the same part number as I do before I have no choice left but to just dispose this laptop.

When I turn on the laptop it just gives out three beeps and shows black screen. There is no way I can run the diagnostic

Oh yea forgot lol, well the ST should have a S/N which would be your serial number look for a like 2cm9857627us there should also be a P/N which may be about gr878av or something like that. All of this should be on a sticker on the bottom of the nb.
Anyone with DV2000 Part#RM669AAR?
