Has anyone added Arctic Silver to their DV2000t?

Does doing this void your warranty?

    Thanks,
    Ryan

Yes, I'm pretty sure opening the case (aside from RAM and hard drive bays) will void the warranty, as will applying Arctic Sliver.

I haven't tried it on my dv2000, however. Nor do I plan to.

that is what I thought. I do own a Dell XPS Laptop which I applied arctic silver. The dv2000t does not have heat issues so its not really a big deal.

I would still like to know if anyone has done this that can provide any type of result.

Putting AS5 is always a good way to cool down the CPU, but if the temperatures on your CPU are normal, the stock paste is fine. Usually AS5 will give you a 2-3 degree drop(sometimes more) after it cures and sets on the CPU.

Is there a seal HP has on their CPU area???

How does HP know the consumer voided the warranty, other than the obvious that there is no long a thermal pad, but AS5 on the CPU????
