Are HP keyboards still an issue? My new 8560w has one.

Just received the 8560w. In setting up the system, several keys did not register. After playing around (with tech support) all the keys working except for: 3, e, d and c, which now work sporadically.

Noticed that there are several threads, mostly dated, regarding keyboard with minds of their own. Does anyone know if mine is an isolated event or is there an ongoing issue where HP ignores their errant drivers? Thank you

My Pavilion doesn't have any keyboard issues. My guess is that the actual keyboard is a dud.

Might be defected. I'm also getting an 8560w, I hope you can get your keyboard working again. Also, if you do have to get it repaired, tell me how the service was.

I am sending it back and hopefully they will have a new one with which to exchange. A brand new machine shouldn't have to be fixed with less than 5 minutes of use.

Why do HP keyboards exhibit "flex". They operate ok on the right side of the keyboard, however, the left side exhibits quite a bit of flex when I tap on them when I'm typing.
