Since the Radiance is sold out, just wondering if there's any 1600x900 14" screens you can buy from a different manufacturer and then put into your Envy...

Have you at least called the HP parts store to put your radiance order in, eventhough people are saying HP is telling them its on back order... can't hurt to try. I am not sure why there aren't any other 1600x900 screen makers....

I believe its because of the rare 14.5 screen size as opposed to the norm 14.1 so there hasn't been enough comps with this size to justify going into production. I'm guessing here.

yea I agree with spencerp, im fact, I don't know of any other notebook that has a 14.5" screen, except for some old pavillions but they had 1366x768. Not only that, but the edge to edge display would make it much more complicated to have it changed

The problem I will be seeing is that since you got Edge to Edge glass, you already got glare. Would a glossy just make it even worse to use? I recall that Edge to Edge screens are often fitted with a matte LCD inside.

Is the radiance a matte screen?

Yes it was for people that had guts actually taking apart the Edge to Edge.
