    Are estimated shipping dates close to on time????

    I just ordered a ZX5000 from hpshopping and the estimated shipping date is July 6. Is HP usually on time, late, or early with when they ship the notebook? What have your experiences been. I am very curious!

    Estimated shipping dates seem to be rather late for most people. I ordered mine and it said it would ship in two weeks--it shipped a week early and I'm sitting here typing on it before the estimated ship date. A lot of companies do this--giving you an estimate that they know is far longer than it typically takes.

    The estimated date is worst case scenario. This way if it arrives early your happy, and if they underestimated you'd be pissed instead and waiting.

    Mine "shipped" at the estimated date, but according to the tracking info, HP dropped it off at Fedex after the cut off time, so I received my notebook 1 day late.

    Mine arrived more than a week early. They always give a late date, so they guarantee that your computer will come by that date.
