I know the HP-DV5T produces a lot of heat... but i think this is way more than normal. This are my temperatures after playing Assasin Creed. I am also using a notebook cooler.

I am sorry.. that picture is while i was playin Assasin Creed. Anyways... my temperatures dont drop below 52C.

What cooler is it?

How long have you had the laptop for? Has it allways ran that hot? Is there any dust or foreign bodies blocking the air flow around the heatsink and fan areas?
-
Seems about right to me at full load, how long were you playing assassins creed, and max settings? And as previous poster asked, what cooler, and is it alligned with your back vent? Also have you tried undervolting?
-
Sorry, yesterday i was using the laptop while the vents where blocked. I supposed that was what caused all the heat. And was running the game at mid-high, not full specs.
Anyways, running my computer at Idle my temperatures are the following:
Core1=49c
Core2=45c
GPU=53c
HD=45c
My cooler is a Coolmax NB-400, it seems to do a good work... Its not perfectly aligned, but it was the best i could find on the store.

Ahh that explains it
Whew thats a relief lol. Btw how is Assassins Creed, I've been thinking of buying that when my comp gets here.

These are my max temps after running ATITool and ORTHOS for an hour and 10 minutes. My CPU and GPU were stressed to it's max. I have undervolted my dv5t and i have a Zalman NC2000 on max fan speed.
