On notebookcheck, 5830 on Hp Envy is higher than 230M but I saw Ati 5830 is bad.
I have used 230M on DV6 i7 and it is good to play Call of Duty 6.
Test with 3Planesoft Screensaver and Call of Duty 6.

What's the hell with 5830 ??? I think this problem due to driver for 5830 not compatibility.

How can I set these values for overclock ?
As 230M and others graphic card, we don't need overclock and we can play game very smooth with max settings. So, what's the problem with 5830 ?

I know that I have tried COD6 on DV6 with 230M graphic card. No problem with 230M.
May be I would try MassEffect, Dirt2 or etc... -
Well, care to try lower details?
And of course try some other games. Also do a benchmark at all defaults with 3DMark Vantage and see where you stack between similar configs. If the difference is large then there's something wrong with the driver like you said.

I'm going with bad drivers or something.
The Vantage GPU score of my 5830 is a little above what notebookcheck.net is showing for the GTX260M and when I overclock it I'm scoring 200 points higher than the GTX280M.
While Vantage probably isn't the BEST comparison in this situation it's good enough to know that the 5830 should trounce the GT 230M without a problem.

I think so I can't bench with 3Dmark Vantage. Where is the newest driver for ati 5830 ?

I have installed Catalyst 10.1 but the system just shows this:

When I remove Ati Catalyst and installing again, Catalyst Control Center doesn't show on right click and system tray.
Edit: I see it's working now ~50fps on COD6. But on Crysis, cannot move, look arround and no gamer show on game.
Something wrong with this driver. Just fine, now.
