    Audio Jack help with HP DV9500

    When I plug my headphone jack into either of the available ports it does not transmit the sound through the head phones but instead still plays them through the speaker as if they were not plugged in. I have tried to tinker with the sound options but have not been successful. Please, please someone help me out. Thank you all for your time.
