I have a envy 14 laptop which produces a sizzling/buzzing sound when plugged into the AC adapter. It makes the sound when external speakers are used.

When I unplugged Adapter and used Power from Bartery, everything is good

Anyone got same that problem? I have updated all drivers that the HP Support article mentioned, but still do not get any silence.

What is the cause? how to solve this problem? Thanks so much

If your laptop has a microphone check that it is switched off!
I had that problem once too after I was fiddling with the microphone controls and left the mic on by mistake it made a sqealing noise as soon as I plugged in the AC-no idea why this happens. Hope this helps!

    Thanks for reply me :)

I just Plugged a external speakers (and of course the adapter too) into my laptop, no microphone or anything :( Can you explain me about this?

It only makes the sound when my laptop plugged into the AC adapter and just external speakers was, the laptop speakers is good . If unplugged adapter and use battery power--> no sizzling........

Anyone help me? Maybe my adapter broken? Or it is a software/Driver error?

Thanks so much and sorry for my bad English :p
