HP nc8430 with latest SoundMAX HD Audio drivers, I've tried several decoders (CyberLink, NVidia PureVideo, ffdshow), tried to disable HW acceleration, nothing to do.

ATI drivers are Catalyst 7.1 for Windows XP.

The funny thing is that if I skip the menu and the initial trailers of the DVD, the disc is played fine. This can be done with VLC using the path "dvdsimple".

With WMP this is obviously not possible, then I get the whole disk playback corrupted.

What can that be? Something wrong between video and audio drivers?

As I said, it's VERY strange that if I skip the initial menus and trailers the DVD plays fine.

    Fabio

what player do you use? Try Media Player Classic (free) or PowerDVD (paid). This does not sound like a driver issue to me.

It does the same with all the players. If it's not a driver issue I wonder why even using different codecs the problems is still the same.
