    How do I know?

I loaded flash version F.3D, then F.42. on top of that? Will BIOS page tell me if the memcap is raised?

The info on the HP BIOS flash(es) said nothing about ram increase...

    This is 9428nr; CPU is TL-64 2.2Ghz

Has anyone with this hardware done this successfully?

(if you have dv9xxx any other, or dv6xxx, or 2xxx, or Dell laptop, or desktop, or eMachines, or a turbocharger in your washing machine, or amphetamines in your hummingbird feeder, tell me THAT success story for sure, since I need to know that too :p )

The only way to tell is to plug in a 4gb stick and see if it boots
