    Hello all,

I've got a Compaq Presario F750US and I'm running BIOS version F.08. This BIOS has very limited functionality. Is there a better version I can run on the F750US? If so, which one, and where might I get it?

    Thanks!

Note: HP usually rewrites the BIOS to its own version that provides very few options. Fewer options = fewer things for the user to screw up = fewer broken computers that HP has to service. The only thing you might be able to do is find the MB manufacturer website and see if they have a different BIOS. But it would be a crapshoot, since you don't know what else HP may have screwed with or disabled on the MB. The MB could even have been custom made for HP, and if the BIOS isn't compatible you'll have a brick that won't boot - so i don't recommend it.
