This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    BIOS update failed

    Hi, i have Pavilion dv6-6b85ec

    1.It has Bios F.2 and I wanted the newes one.
    2.So I downloaded the F.12 for dv6-6bXX for intels from the BIOS thread.
    3.Run the exe. Rebooted my PC.
    4.Said there is a BIOS update available.
    5.Clicked OK
    6.BIOS UPDATE FAILED
    7.Fortunatelly the PC is still running, but with the old BIOS.

    What could be the problem? Has anybody encoutered this?

    EXACTLY the same problem here with my dv6-6b55eg. No idea still. Official site still has the F.02 version uploaded...
