I assume this is the right forum, as it's an issue with the HP website's BIOS upgrade. I saw that there is a BIOS listed under drivers available for my computer. It's called "WinFlash for HP Notebook System BIOS (Notebooks with AMD Processors)" and is version F.04 with a "-" under the section for Previous versions. The release date is 07-2008. My computer is running under the same BIOS version (F.04) but it lists the release date as "20080621" - which seems to be June 21, 2008, not quite July.

Does anyone else have such date issues when viewing the updated BIOS/other drivers for their HP system? I'm trying to decide whether I should try to update the BIOS, but the date issue makes me uneasy... considering they're the same version.

Usually, the date on the website lists the month the file was uploaded on to site for public use. The actual release date should be a bit older than the release date shown on the website.

Ooh... I should have figured that one out. Oops! But thanks for letting me know. That solves the BIOS issue and my concern over whether I needed to update a few drivers. :) Seems I'm all up-to-date.
