Did you install XP on this laptop? I see you have the dv9000 series which does not come from the factory with XP installed, so either you bought it and installed XP or you bought it used and somebody else already installed XP. Really we need more info to help you. Did you simply create an image of the c drive or were you trying to restore the image after you burned them? Again need more info.

I use Ghost 2003 from a boot cd that I made, and use it with with SATA drives on my DV9500T and it works great, (though, for Vista, you have to run a few BDCEdit commands before you backup for the first time to get a successfull restore). Note that XP, by default, has no SATA drivers, but that should not affect ghost.

Yes, I bought it new few month ago,It was windows Vista,I did a clean install windows XP pro last couple weeks, everything ran prefect, that is why I want to back up the whloe c drive incase something go wrong.

Yes, I creat an image of my C drive to a DVD disk, used Norton 2003, after I created system gone to restart then system boot up a blank screen with a little line on the left hand top corner, then that is, I waited for few hrs the same, I shut off powder and restarted still the same.

I have not burned any image diskes yet because the system restarted then won't boot.

I used the same procedure for my desk top PC all the times, It works fine and prefect the only different is my desk top are IDE-ATA the notebook is SATA, I googled it, Norton ghost 2003 seen to be having a problem with SATA drives.

I assume you followed the directions in the sticky at the top of the forum to install XP. Based on that assumption, try sticking in the XP cd you created to install XP into your dvd drive, reboot and your laptop should boot from the dvd drive, if it does boot up select 'Repair XP Install' from the prompt and see if that gets ya up and going again.
