Well i'm on a Dell Inspiron e1705 and the webpages don't come up. Well it's my baby mommas (GF) grandmother's laptop. She was on the phone with Dell tech support for about two or three hours. Of course as any body would expect they didn't fix anything. They just added a lot of programs that don't really do anything but eat up her HDD. So does anybody know how to fix this. They said we should re-install Windows XP. I'm reluctant to do this. Also if we come to this i'm going to convince her to upgrade to Vista as she has a free upgrade for it. So does anybody have a clue as what to do. Any suggestions or insight on this problem is greatly appreciated.

I assume this happens in IE 7?

See if the same thing happens in Firefox.

That is a very odd problem. Have you checked all the settings in your internet browser? Do you have a firewall installed and have you checked its settings if you do? Do you get any kind of screen in your browser like a can't connect to internet or is it just blank? Have you run the typical scans just in case? Has there been anything new installed? Need more information.

all settings have been checked. Problem occurs in Firefox also. Two other laptops run on the same wireless router. I don't have a clue whats wrong.
