Reccently got myself a dv6tqe laptop.
Would like to know if there is a backlit keyboard available for this?
Wonder why hp didn't have this option while customizing in the first place :(

Read through the modding thread. We were working on it, but I think people gave up. The Envy 17 backlit keyboard is the same, but the problem is that the tabs on it do not align with the DV6. Also the DV6 does not have a ZIF connecter for the LED power from the keyboard, however it does have a port for it. It appears that if you are willing to solder a ZIF onto the motherboard and secure the keyboard with double-sided tape, it will work.
