Long story short- Turn on laptop, no display 1 long beep, 2 short beeps
HP online tech support says bad video card and it is out of warranty. $400 to get them to fix it(what the online lady said). The product number on the bottom of mine is not the same product number as in my reciept and their system, the one on the bottom starts with an ES (engineering sample?), and the online computer says EW and the numbers after that are different. I ordered it the DAY it became available off the HP home store.
Can i replace the video card on my own? Is it worth replacing (i.e. is is just going to break again?)

The video card is built directly into the motherboard and is not swappable, so you would have to replace the entire motherboard. That basically means you have to rebuild your computer to fix it.

If i watch that picture, i think not all cards are build in.....
