I have ordered a non-customised 8510p in the UK direct from HP. I thought (wrongly) this would speed things up.

It took 4 attempts for them to accept my order, and only then would they accept it with a direct bank transfer of the full amount.

The order was placed on the 27/09/07 and the delivery date is constantly being put back. Today was the estimated day (6/11) and now it has been put back again to the 22/11!!

There has been no communication from HP about this, not even an email to say it has been delayed further, I have heard nothing from them (without logging into their site) since I paid them the money!

I don't know what the delay is but, I am reading about other people who have received their laptops. I'm thinking that by the time I receive my laptop it wont be worth what I paid for it!!

    Very angry!!!

Anyone else is a similar situation?

I am so tempted to buy MacBook Pro when I read things like that. Why buying a bloody HP laptop is so difficult where with Apple you just go in and go out with a smily face?

Do you know if there are any places in the UK to see HP business laptops before buying?

Sounds like HP UK is pretty bad overall with CS... I've heard pretty mixed reviews regarding CS with HP US, but overall not as bad as HP UK. I've also heard that HP Asia/Pacific has really good CS.

Funny how CS differs so much in different regions of the world.

It would appear my complaining worked, my laptop arrived this morning. It goes to show that moaning works! So I'm happier now!! (Although it didn't come with a recovery CD which is mildly irksome!)

Just waiting for the marathon initial start up process to complete. :)

It's much easier in the states but we have an opposite problem. The Mac stores are filled with ego maniacs who have such disdain for anything not Mac it's hard to get them to just show you the product.
