    well the thing is, i really like the look of the dv2000. I think they are made by Quanta and was wondering if anyone knew if it was possible for us to get a barebones from quanta that looked similar to the dv2000 with similar hardware features?

    I really don't even know if this is possible, it's just that the dv2000 is so weak and expensive imo.

    the RAM is expensive and we don't reall know what kind we're getting, and the harddrives only come in 5400rpm,

    No, this isn't possible. They can't sell designs they make for HP as barebone units.
