I've been having trouble deciding between the HP dv6000t or the Dell E1505. One of the deciding factors is the battery that sticks out of the HP. Does the high capacity 6 stick out of the HP? If anyone out there has that battery, what do you get out of it?

Any thoughts on the screen comparison between the HP and the WSXGA with Dell?

i think the new HC 6 cell doesnt stick out. just roughly 18% more battery life.

I personally had a dv2000t and the amount of space i had to do my task was sufficent. Web browsing while burning dvds while playing a game while chatting.

The battery sticking out can be a bit of a problem (12-cell) but the high-capacity 6-cell HP batteries do NOT stick out. Although I think Dell lets you have 9-cell batteries which might be better than a high-capacity 6 cell anyway, but it probably will weigh more.

Also, about the screens, 1680x1050 is REALLY small on a 15.4" laptop. You really want to find a person with that kind of laptop screen before you decide on purchasing it, as most 17" laptops don't have that as a default resolution (which should tell you it's rather high). You can always return it, but the down time stinks, and it would be bad to keep it because of the inconvenience of returning it and later to curse yourself for it. Just giving you a heads up!
