I installed the HP Battery Check but it doesn't show anything.
Does anyone know of any drivers I could use to get the power meter showing?

Here you go, You're not the first, apparently it's a common problem.

I dont think thats my problem, I have the HP Battery Check installed but when I open it I only get this
I then went to Control panel < Power Options < Advanced Tab then I clicked the "Always Show Icon on the taskbar" Then on my taskbar I get the "On Ac Power" Image but it doesn't tell me how much battery % I have. And When I take out my AC adaptor it still says On AC Power. -

Sorry cant help with that one. Is there a way you could reinstall the program above? Maybe find the driver or whatever for it and update it or something.

I talked to the hp online technician and they said I need to run the compaq recovery program, they said it was most likely a corrupted file in the installation

Have you tried to enable the icon thru the Power Options window? If it's not enabled, it won't show.

yes i have enabled it and it only says "on ac power" even when i take out the AC adaptor.
Can anyone help me
I tried what the hp technicians said but it didnt help.
