    AFAIK there wasnt any chage in the batteries between the dv9000 and the dv9500+ series. So, a battery compatible with the dv9000 should have no issues with running on a dv95/96/97/98 00 series notebook.

    ive used dv2000 battery on a dv2500, works fine. Same with the AC adapter.
