I wanted to know what the battery life is for the 6 cell and 9 cell on pavilion dv6t-7000 and the 8 cell of the envy 15t-3200, if anyone knew that would be great!

Do not count the number of cells but the capacity of the battery. Not all cells are same size... :)

Search the part number to find the power capacity in WHr. Assuming the same usage, your battery life should be proportional the the power capacity. For example if your 6-cell is 40WHr and your 9-cell is 60WHr, your 9 cell will offer you 60/40 = 1.5 = 50% more battery life than your 6 cell.

just for a quick reference, my dv7t 720qm/5650 1gb can run around 1 hour on a standard 6 cell with balanced/power saver option running normal web browsing, ms office etc.
"standard" as in i got it from hp, and it's not the high capacity one, too lazy to check the actual figure tho
