After a clean install of vista on my dv5z, all the drivers have been installed and everything works properly...

one thing i noticed was that the battery manager now says

    Balanced
    Power Saver
    High Performance

    instead of

    HP Recommended
    Power Saver
    High Performance...

I was wondering if there is any benefit of having Hp recommended instead of just Balanced, and if there is a driver or fix?

From what I can remember, HP Recommended was little more than a minor tweak of the Balanced setting. You can go in the advanced settings for the power plan and adjust it to your tastes.....
