Here is the situation...Battery will no longer take a charge. I can use a different adaptor and I have the same problem. I can take the battery out and re-charge it in my Presario v5000 without any problem using same power brick. ergo no battery or power brick problems.

HP will only run on battery power. When power is plugged in green lite flashes and battery icon says it is charging, but it is not.

It will not run on AC.

    Does anyone have any ideas..

    Thanks,

    Jim

Are you SURE your HP won't run on electricity? I didn't think mine would either --- when my battery died I couldn't get any power, battery or electricity UNTIL somebody told me to take the battery out of the laptop, and then plug the battery charger/cord back in. VOILA!!! Electric power! It was a beautiful thing. . .
