    Hey,

So i have my computer (win 7) set to high performance. I also keep it plugged it but it hasnt been charging my battery, its down to 35%. Does it have some sort of a cycle function where it waits until the battery is drained and then charges it back up? I dont want it to do this because when i need to use it on the go i would like a full battery. Any ideas?

    Tom

If your battery is stuck at 35%, your AC Adapter may not be able to provide sufficient amperage to charge the battery.

Knowing the model of laptop you own, I'd say it's a tossup between battery and AC Adapter. The 5-1235DX is an earlier model DV5, and may have the original run AC Adapter, which failed pretty often.

ACA's are cheap. Try that first. If that's a no-go, it's the battery.
