I purchased mine with two 8-cell High capacity units. I think I read that the high capacity batteries protrude from the computer case. Mine are flush with the case. Did HP send me the wrong batteries?

All my paperwork lists the 8-cell Hi-caps, including the packing list.

I also ordered the Hi Capacity 8 cell and it is flush with the case. You may be thinking of the 12 cell option for the 6000 series which protrudes. I wouldn't mind a 12 cell option for this laptop but so far I haven't had any chances to test the battery life.

Maybe google the model # on the battery if you want to be sure. but I think it is the 12 cell that protrudes.
