THere are a few HP laptops I'm looking at, all of which have the Beats Audio. I could care less about Beats, but I remember hearing of an issue where it would try to correct the sound thus people were complaing of the sound fading in and out. So my question is, is there a way to permanenty disable Beats? Or is this something I'll have to put up with should I purchase the computer, because honestly right now the issues with Beats is preventing me from purchasing a computer. Thanks so much in advance. I did do a search on the forum, but so far haven't been able to locate a post specfically related to this.

No one has heard of this issue? Does anyone know if Beats can be turned off/on or disabled completely?

When you install the Beats drivers, you get a settings menu in Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Beats Audio Control Panel.

By default, it will have some settings set for equalizer, bass, trebble, mids, mic volume, etc. All of this can be disabled.
