I have a new HP laptop with the Beats Audio. I thought I saw a thread here about the issues with sound compression (I think that's what it's called), where Beats adjusts for the loud parts in a song. I can't seem to find the thread, so I apologize. Is there a way to disable this feature? It's rather annoying. I like the speakers for the most part, other than that. Thanks!

yah i have a hp envy m6-1105dx and i've noticed this as well, i thought it was itunes but it does it to songs on youtube, vlc, windows media player as well.

i thought maybe it had to do with power options but its plugged in and on "high performance" mode

also ive played around in beats audio control panel to no avail.

    is it the driver?

    whats up?
