dv7-6163us I believe is the model, running Windows 7. It seems to have always been this way, but I am not sure why. I like the beats audio equalizer and enhancements, but they only work when listening with the built in speakers on the laptop or if I connect a pair of headphones to the 3.5mm jack. Any other devices that I have connected to my laptop, beats audio still runs and I can open it, but it doesn't change the sound/audio that is being output. This is bothersome when connecting to my home theater/projector, or even if I wanted to hook up wireless headphones (via USB and not the headphone jack). Is there something restricting its ability to alter the sound output through other devices, or is there no way to fix it? Thanks.

Its just an EQ preset to the speakers. Mine also wasn't working on any connected device.
