Envy 15 or Samsung Series 7

I finally settled on the Envy because of the FHD screen, better speakers and the video card issues with the Samsung.

Now I see the thread about a new Envy coming along in april? Are these just rumors or should I not purchase the Envy? I configured it and with the 30% off it's $1242...

I believe those are actual news already for the new Envy refresh, of course it can be delayed as well.

It's all rumor and speculation right now as to when. A refresh will come, but at an unknown time. Earlier this week intel announced that mass shipments of IVY Bridge CPUs will be delayed several months, so I wouldn't expect to see a refresh until late summer at the earliest.

I just remembered I could use student discount...

    $1132.99

    Total after tax: 1233.54

Pretty tempting... I may just get it.

I'm coming from a 4 year old XPS M1530. If I get this and play a game (league of legends) it would be so much better, and if they upgrade the gpu in the new laptop that improvement probably wouldn't be as big as the change I'm expecting (and I would never know so ignorance is bliss).

The only thing that would bother me is if they fix the red-orange display.
